One ranking policeman who rushed to the aid of a fellow officer who was ambushed by a blade-wielder has been awarded the Royal Recognition for Valor.

Sergeant Tim Ansell grappled with twenty-seven-year-old Jacob Brown subsequent to he held a knife to the neck of his colleague Sergeant Marc Foster.

Brown began the violence as the officers and their third officer, PC Marcus Wolstencroft, were speaking to a driver subsequent to a vehicle incident in the area in mid-2023.

The latest honor comes after the law enforcement team won organizational Courage Honors in fall 2023 and the John Egerton Bravery Award from the area officer association in early 2024.

They additionally received a Regional Valor Recognition in summer 2024.

Brown was given to an indefinite hospital order in spring 2024, according to authorities.
