The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Ex twice unified boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making huge earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers participated in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really proceeding.
